Now me, I like Bollywood stuff in general (although I don't really seek it out, I just love bizarre musical numbers that come out of nowhere), but this movie was not really your typical Indian movie. It was more straight out depressing than anything. I find it funny that people think of it as being "uplifting", just because two people were lucky enough to escape after suffering years of emotional/physical scars.
